Action on Copyright – Statutory Review of the Copyright Act

CAUT is calling on its membership to participate in the upcoming hearings of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology as part of its statutory review of the Copyright Act. The Committee will be travelling May 7-11 to Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver. Mil Rate Proposal 2018 Resolution Passes with 82.8% of Votes Cast!

Dear Colleagues, Thank you to all of you who voted on this important resolution. The results are in: Yes = 444 Votes (82.8%) No = 92 Votes (17.2%) Total Votes = 536 of 816 Electors (65.7%) The Finance and Investment Committee, and the Executive Committee of the Association are heartened by this outcome and feel assured we have the support of the Membership as we enter 2019 contract negotiations.
