On April 22, 2024, UVICFA jointly with a coalition of unions representing staff and students from University of Victoria sent an open letter to Premier David Eby and Minister of Advanced Education and Future Skills Lisa Beare, about the austerity surrounding the UVic budget and the inherent unsustainability in the post-secondary funding model in BC.
