MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION:
- Framework Agreement Article 2.11 "Faculty Member" means a person holding one of the following academic appointment classifications at the University:
(a) A tenured appointment or an appointment with eligibility for tenure as i) Assistant Professor, ii) Associate Professor, iii) Professor, or
iv) A grant-tenured appointment or an appointment with eligibility for grant-tenure at any of the above ranks.
- (b) A tenured appointment as Teaching Professor;
- (c) Senior Instructor;
- (d) Limited Term appointment with a term of more than one year appointed at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor or appointed as a Senior Instructor;. This includes a person who has held a Limited Term appointment with a term of more than one year and who, immediately following the end of that appointment, is reappointed for a further term, regardless of the length of that further term.
- (e) Artist-in-Residence; (f) Lecturer, and (g) Academic Administrator;
each of whom is represented by the Association.
MEMBERSHIP DURING LEAVE:
- Membership in the Association during Leave is mandatory. At the April 24, 1997, General Association meeting, a motion was passed that Faculty Association members not be exempted from paying dues while on leave.
